How could I not use this painting again for the Illustration Friday Topic of "Teacher". Jesus is the perfect example and most perfect Teacher:)
John 13:12-17
When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them:)

His eyes are so piercing and kind at the same time. Who wouldn't want to sit at his feet and listen to his teaching?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteOur Castmate, Shannon, did foot washing with her two newest children adopted from Bulgaria. It made me really think about how they are following Christ's example and serving these children. Perhaps this is a theme and I need to take heed to a message meant for me.
Just beautiful. One day we will see him face to face.
ReplyDeleteGreat post.
ReplyDeleteYour art is beautiful. I really love my rooster and birds on a wire. I know I'll be back for more!
