Gentle Whisper

This world is too loud....for me anyway. So many voices, noises, so many things fighting for my attention..... I have had this painting sitting on my desk just waiting to be painted for sometime....

I want to hear His voice....

Then he was told, “Go, stand on the mountain at attention before God. God will pass by.”

A hurricane wind ripped through the mountains and shattered the rocks before God, but God wasn’t to be found in the wind; after the wind an earthquake, but God wasn’t in the earthquake; and after the earthquake fire, but God wasn’t in the fire; and after the fire a gentle and quiet whisper.
 1 Kings 19:11-14 (MSG)

God isn't in the busy, the loud or the noise....He is the still small voice....the, "Gentle Whisper."

  1. Your words are just beautiful, Kelly. I'm a Christian too (though I don't specifically blog about my faith). It's nice to read such posts of people in their daily walks with God. Much love x

  3. This is beautiful! You capture the essence of being still enough for the Holy Spirit to speak into your ear.

  8. The watercolor girl reminds me of you and the bluebird by her ear - the small, gentle voice of the Lord. Just beautiful.
